Here at CL MediCall Aid, we understand that making a claim can be a daunting process, which is why we’ve worked hard to make sure our claims process is and simple and stress free for you as possible.
We’ve outlined our claims process for you below. Please take a minute to familiarise yourself with this process, so that you know what to if you need to make a claim.
First things first, if you’ve been involved in a road traffic accident
You report this accident to your insurance company
You can claim for any injuries caused by using a solicitor or by making the claim on the Official Injury Claims portal at www.officialinjuryclaim.org.uk
On the Official Injury Claims portal complete the online form and submit your personal injury claim to the at fault party.
The at fault party will decide whether they think the individual who they insure is responsible for the accident. They will accept or deny liability on the portal. If the compensator accepts liability in full or partially then you will be able to move forward to get a medical report.
Decide whether to use a Medical Reporting Organisation (like CL Medicall Aid) or a Direct Medical Expert and select your provider on the portal. You can learn more about the difference between these in our FAQs.
If you have chosen us, we will arrange a medical appointment for you. This can be a face to face appointment or a remote appointment.
We will need your signed consent prior to an appointment taking place. You can provide this using the link that has been sent to you via email and text.

Once the report is complete it will be sent to us for quality assurance checks. We will complete this prior to sending you the report to ensure no factual errors have been made.
We will upload the report to the Official Injury Claims portal for you to review. If you identify any factual inaccuracies the medical expert will be asked to correct the report.
If you are happy with the report you will be able to either submit this to the compensator for settlement or wait until your prognosis period ends.
When the report is submitted the third party will offer you a settlement figure. You can accept this or negotiate within the portal until you reach a settlement.
When a settlement is reached and you receive payment for your damages the claim process will end.
