Governance

MedCo

All Medical Reporting Organisations (MROs) must comply with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Qualifying Criteria for MROs and compliance is regulated by Medco.

All claims that are submitted via the Pre Action Protocol for Low Value Injury Road Traffic Accidents or the Pre Action Protocol for Personal Injury claims below the small claims limit in Road Traffic Accidents must come via a Medco search. All medical reports that are completed to evidence a Medco claim must be a fixed cost medical report completed by a Medco Accredited medical expert. CL Medicall Aid is a Tier 1 MRO and has been registered with Medco since it was introduced in 2015.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to comply with the MOJ Qualifying Criteria and have a dedicated team responsible for ensuring that we’re working in line with the most recent Medco Guidance.

CL Medicall Aid has a proven track record of meeting the SLAs (time frames) put in place by Medco and instructing parties – we will continue to strive towards exceeding these at every given opportunity.

GDPR

CL Medicall Aid has been accredited to the International Standard in Information Security (ISO27001) since 2015. This accreditation allows for an annual external audit of all systems and controls in place for the protection of data and gives us as a company added confidence in our ability to protect the data of all our clients. In addition to this, CL Medicall Aid appointed a Caldicott Guardian to oversee the Data Protection processes and ensure that the company was working in line with the Caldicott Principles alongside all other Data Protection legislation.

Following the implementation of GDPR, CL Medicall Aid has worked tirelessly to ensure that we are leading the industry in our commitment to Protecting the Data of individuals. Our commitment comes from the board downwards and all departments are given Data Protection update training several times per year. The principles of data handling are taken into account in all our processes and the rights of individuals are at the very heart of everything we do.

Clinical Quality Assurance

CL Medicall Aids mission is to provide the most effective medical evidence, treatment and rehabilitation service to the UK’s personal injury market.

To help us achieve this, we have created a department whose sole purpose is to ensure all the services and reports provided by us are of the upmost quality. Reviewing all aspects of clinical delivery, allows us scope for continuous improvement in all areas of the business from rehabilitation to medical reports. By using peer review methods, we’re able to provide feedback to our panel of medical experts regarding their service delivery, to encourage our panel to grow and improve alongside us and each other. In an ever developing environment such as personal injury, the Clinical Quality Assurance Division is a key area of the business and CL Medicall Aid plans to continuously develop in this area to ensure we are consistently leading the market in service delivery.
